LINKED
LINKED explores the cultural landscapes of the East through talking to communities and creatives across Ipswich, Norwich and Colchester. It aims to delve into the under-represented aspects of the arts and cultural scene in the East, focusing on places and venues, through the voices and stories of people who live there.
This was a collaborative project from artists, Emily Thomas, Natalie Whitney and Jack Richardson commissioned by FLOCK, Creative Arts East and NNF Festival Bridge.
LINKED was shared on Thursday 15th December 2022 at The Baths, Ipswich in an interactive installation, movement piece and community space to meet other creatives and like-minded people, in collaboration with Led Creatives and Young Artists In Suffolk.
Interaction

Construction
The installation is comprised of three interactive wooden booths, representing the three locations explored; Ipswich, Norwich and Colchester.
Each booth allows you to listen to the voices of people in the East through a touch based interaction. The surface of each booth is split into three based upon the core questions we asked people:
Describe : What 3 words would you use to describe this place to someone who hasn’t visited before?
Connect : Can you name a place you have a connection to here?
Happen : What would you like to see happening here?
