Nostalgic immunity
This project explores ownership, triggers and consequences surrounding nostalgic feelings. The pandemic brought about a longing for things we could no longer experience which was unsurprisingly accompanied by a wave of nostalgia. Once considered an illness, but also a feeling sought for when in need of familiarity, a peroid of research into the feeling led to a plethora of questions;

what is nostalgia?
What if we could elicit nostalgic feelings whenever we needed or wanted them?
How powerful or useful is regurgitating feelings of something that is no more/from the past?
Can they manifest in new physical feelings?
Support happiness and welling?
Does it provide comfort? Evoke sadness? Confusion?
What makes individuals feel nostalgic?

Can nostalgia be shared or passed on?

To offer a space to discuss nostalgia, this research was shared through a playful interactive
audio-visual booth, whereby toys of the 1990's/2000's triggered sound through capacitive touch.
